Live Animal Shipping Policy

At Whimsical Workz, the safety and well-being of our animals is our highest priority. We take great care in packaging and shipping to ensure they arrive healthy and stress-free. Please review the following policies carefully before placing your order.

Shipping Method

All live animals are shipped via FedEx Overnight Service to ensure the fastest and safest delivery possible.

Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG) Requirements

To qualify for our Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG), the following conditions must be met:

  • Hold for Pickup is required when specified

  • Animals must be picked up the same day they are delivered

  • You must contact us at whimsicalworkz@gmail.com within one (1) hour of pickup

  • Provide clear, timestamped photos and/or video of the deceased specimen

Important Notes:

  • LAG applies only to the cost of the animal(s)

  • Shipping costs are not covered

  • Shipping for replacement animals is the responsibility of the buyer

Failure to meet any of these requirements will void the Live Arrival Guarantee.

Temperature & Hold for Pickup Policy

  • Hold for Pickup is required to qualify for LAG

  • Hold for Pickup is mandatory when temperatures are:

    • Below 55°F

    • Above 85°F

This policy is in place to protect the health and safety of the animals during transit.

Shipping Schedule

  • Live animals are shipped Monday and Tuesday only

  • Orders placed after 1:00 PM on Tuesday will ship the following Monday

We do not ship on weekends or holidays.

Shipping Limitations

  • We currently ship only within the continental United States

  • Customers are responsible for verifying the legality of any animals in their state before ordering

Address Accuracy & Responsibility

Customers are fully responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address at checkout.

  • If an incorrect address is provided and the package must be reshipped, additional shipping costs will be the customer’s responsibility

  • Updating your account or PayPal address after placing an order will not update the order automatically

  • If you notice an error, you must contact us immediately

Holiday & Carrier Delays

We do not ship on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Day

Carrier-observed holidays may also impact transit times, including:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day

  • Presidents Day

  • Columbus Day

  • Veterans Day

Shipping Liability

Once your order has been handed off to the carrier, responsibility transfers to the shipping provider.

Whimsical Workz is not responsible for:

  • Lost, misdelivered, or stolen packages

  • Carrier delays

  • Refused shipments

  • Packages not picked up from a carrier facility

Shipping Fees

  • All shipping fees are non-refundable

We work hard to package every order with exceptional care, ensuring your animals are shipped in conditions that prioritize their health and safety. While we cannot control carrier operations, we are always here to help guide you if any issues arise.
